What is Raïs?
Raïs is an Algerian payment platform for individuals and businesses. Personal users get a DZD digital account with free instant transfers. Businesses can accept CIB and Edahabia card payments, create payment links, and send invoices — all from one dashboard.
What types of accounts does Raïs offer?
Raïs offers two account types: Personal — a DZD wallet for sending, receiving, and paying with QR codes; and Business — a full merchant account with card acceptance, payment links, invoicing, and analytics.
What payment cards are accepted?
Raïs accepts all Algerian-issued CIB (Carte Interbancaire) and Edahabia (Algérie Poste) cards. That covers every bank card in Algeria.
Do I need a physical terminal to accept payments?
No. Raïs lets you accept card payments online without any physical terminal. If you already have a bank terminal ID, you can optionally connect it to route settlements directly to your bank account.
How do P2P transfers work?
Send money to any Raïs user instantly and for free. Just enter their username or scan their QR code — the transfer is immediate with no fees.
How do payment links work?
As a business, you can generate a payment link in seconds from your dashboard. Share it via WhatsApp, email, SMS, or social media. Your customer clicks the link, pays with their CIB or Edahabia card, and you get notified instantly.
How does invoicing work?
Create professional invoices from your dashboard with line items, due dates, and client details. Send them via email — your client receives a link to pay online with their card. You can track the status of every invoice in real time.
Can I integrate Raïs into my website or app?
Yes. Raïs provides a REST API for businesses. You can create invoices, generate payment links, and receive real-time webhook notifications programmatically. Integrate into any stack — the API is designed to be simple and predictable.
What currency does Raïs use?
Raïs operates in Algerian Dinar (DZD). All balances, transfers, and payments are in DZD.
Is my money and data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Raïs never stores full card numbers — card processing happens within the certified banking network. Your account is protected by email verification and password authentication.
