1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Raïs platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

These terms apply to all users of Raïs, including personal account holders and businesses.

2. Description of Service

Raïs is an Algerian payment platform that allows individuals and businesses to send, receive, and manage payments in Algerian Dinar (DZD). Features include peer-to-peer transfers, QR code payments, merchant services, payment links, and invoicing.

3. Eligibility

To use Raïs, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Personal accounts are for individuals. Business accounts are for legally registered entities operating in Algeria.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

All accounts are subject to a review and activation process. Raïs reserves the right to refuse activation or suspend any account at its sole discretion.

5. Prohibited Conduct

When using Raïs, you agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable Algerian law
  • Conduct fraudulent transactions or engage in money laundering
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the platform
  • Use automated scripts to access or interact with the Service without authorisation
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code

6. Payments and Fees

Peer-to-peer transfers between Raïs personal accounts are currently free. Fees may apply to merchant services, card acceptance, and other business features. Any applicable fees will be clearly disclosed before you complete a transaction or subscribe to a service.

All amounts are in Algerian Dinar (DZD) unless explicitly stated otherwise.

7. Card Acceptance

Businesses using Raïs to accept CIB and Edahabia card payments must comply with the rules, regulations, and guidelines of the Algerian banking network (SATIM) and their respective issuing banks. Raïs acts as an intermediary and does not guarantee settlement timelines imposed by the banking network.

Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the use of the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Raïs in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Raïs reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, to Raïs, or to third parties.
